Description:
-
A 220-fiber spectrometer available at the f/8.8 Ritchey-Chretien focus.
The spectrometer has 10 A resolution in the bandpass 3,900-7,600 A. Fibers
are inserted by hand into a drilled plate prepared from accurate celestial
coordinates prior to the run. The diameter of the field available to the
fibers is 66 arcminutes and the closest positioning of two fibers is 10
arcsec. The spectrometer has a dedicated AR-coated TK 1,024x1,024 CCD with
high optical QE and low noise. Alternately, the spectrometer may be used
with TK4.
