CASS ECHELLE

TURNTABLE CYBERPAC TESTING



 

Use this troubleshooting procedure if the ICE program SANDIFORD is unable to tur thr Cass Echelle Turntable.

  1. Break the "6-1" 6 pin connection at the Control Room Patch Panel.
  2. Locate the box marked "CASS ECHELLE TEST CABLES". It is usually in the small room next to the Coude room.
  3. Remove the DB25 to 6 pin female cable.
  4. Connect the DB25 end to a Graphon GO-225 terminal.
  5. Connect the 6 pin end to the connector you removed at the Patch Panel.
  6. Start ICE and SANDIFORD on Nereid.
  7. The following responses should be displayed on the Graphon terminal.

  8. Remove the DB25 to 6 pin female cable.
  9. Locate the DB25 to 6 pin male cable.
  10. Connect the DB25 end to the Graphon terminal.
  11. Connect the 6 pin end to the patch panel (usually "6-1").
  12. Cycle the power on the Cass Echelle.
  13. "(C)CYBERVEC V4.69R" should be displayed on the Graphon.
You have now verified that the ICE program SANDIFORD is sendind the correct commands and that the Cass Echelle Turntabel Cyberpac is working.
