Instructions for Using the 30" Calibration Lamp

1. Turn power ON (left side front panel of HP supply) and wait about 10 seconds for warmup. See photo below.
   
   
2. Press RECALL button, then number key labeled 1, then ENTER. (This resets the supply to predefined startup conditions and overvoltage protection.) Lamp should start.
   
   
3. Startup current is 4.5 amps. Adjust using the current knob.
   
   
   CAUTION: the MAX current is about 5.5 amps. Exceeding that level will cause the power supply to shut down. If this occurs, reduce the current level with the current knob (as far as necessary) then press and release the unlabeled blue button, then the PROTECT key. If the current is set low enough, operation will continue.
   
   
   
4. Please do not change any other settings. Adjust only the CURRENT and do not exceed 5.5 amps!!! If things get messed up, press the RECALL, 1 and ENTER sequence to go back to initial conditions.
   
   
5. Turn the lamp off with the OUTPUT ON/OFF button if you want to return to the same current setting. Otherwise just switch OFF the power.
